PRIVACY STATEMENT
Last Updated: September 30, 2025
Give River Association, and www.giveriver.com ("Give River," "us," "we," or "our") thank you for visiting the online and mobile resources we publish. We use the words "you" and "your" to mean you, the reader, and other visitors to our online and mobile resources who are, in all cases, over the age of 13. Our privacy statement ("this statement," "this privacy statement," and "our statement") informs you about from whom and the types of personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and why, and what we do to try to protect it.
Online and mobile resources mean the websites and other internet features we own that allow you to interact with our websites, as well as apps we've created and distributed to let our customers and followers view our online and mobile resources or otherwise interact with the content we provide.
WHO WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM
We may collect personal information from the following groups of data subjects: visitors to, and users of, our online and mobile resources; our customers; current members of our workforce and those who apply for posted jobs; and third-party vendors and business partners.
Personal information generally means information that can be used to identify you or that can be easily linked to you (for example, your name, address, telephone number, email address, social security number, and date of birth). The privacy laws in some jurisdictions include unique elements in what they consider to be the personal information of the consumers or data subjects they protect. If those laws apply to us, as in the case of the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") or European General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), our use of the phrase "personal information" includes the unique elements required by such laws.
WHAT WE COLLECT
There are two types of information that we obtain from you online and then store and use: (i) non-personal information that's collected automatically from each visitor, such as your device operating system; and (ii) personal information that you voluntarily provide to us or that is collected automatically.
By using our online and mobile resources or purchasing our products or services, you are signifying to us that you agree with this section of our privacy statement and that we may use and disclose your information as described.
WHEN/WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use non-personal information to administer our online and mobile resources, make them better, and to make business decisions about what programs our customers might like.
We use voluntarily provided personal information to respond to your inquiries and provide you with the services you have requested, amongst other uses as further described below. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third party data vendors or marketing companies. As you might expect, we disclose your information when required by law.
YOUR RIGHTS AND OPTIONS
You do not have to provide personal information to enjoy most of the features of our online and mobile resources. Moreover, you can opt-out of certain activities like newsletters and announcements. Residents and data subjects whose personal information was obtained while they were in the GDPR Jurisdictions have certain additional rights.

COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES
At Give River, we believe in transparent and respectful communication with our customers, prospects, and platform users. We will only contact you for legitimate business purposes related to the services you have requested or expressed interest in receiving from us.
When you create an account with Give River, register for our services, or express interest in our platform, you consent to receive certain communications from us. These communications fall into two categories: essential service communications and optional marketing communications.
Essential service communications are necessary for us to provide you with the services you have requested and cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account. These include account setup and onboarding information, platform notifications related to your account activity, recognition and reward notifications within the platform, billing and payment confirmations, important security or privacy updates, technical support responses, and service disruption or maintenance notices.
Optional marketing communications include product updates and new feature announcements, educational webinars and training opportunities, industry insights and best practices content, customer success stories and case studies, invitations to Give River events or user conferences, and occasional surveys to help us improve our service. You may opt out of these marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in any marketing email, adjusting your notification preferences within your Give River account settings, or by contacting us directly at [email protected] or calling (562) 888-3922 during our business hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
We primarily communicate with you via email for account notifications, updates, and marketing communications, and through in-platform notifications for recognition, rewards, and activity updates. We may contact you by phone only for sales inquiries you have initiated, account setup assistance, or support requests you have submitted. We will only contact you via text message or SMS if you have explicitly opted in for this communication channel.
In alignment with our core values and commitment to operating with integrity, Give River does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers or data brokers. We do not engage in aggressive telemarketing practices or make unsolicited sales calls to individuals who have not expressed interest in our services. We do not use automated robocalls or prerecorded messages for marketing purposes. We do not purchase or sell marketing lists containing your personal information. We respect federal and state Do-Not-Call registries and will not contact individuals registered on such lists for marketing purposes, though we reserve the right to contact you for essential service communications related to your active account.
While we do not sell your personal information, we may share necessary information with third-party service providers who help us operate our platform, including hosting providers, payment processors, and analytics services. We may also share information with integration partners you have chosen to connect with your Give River account, such as Slack or Microsoft Teams, and with your organization's administrators who manage your company's Give River account.
All third-party service providers with whom we share your information are bound by confidentiality agreements and are contractually prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to Give River or services you have explicitly requested.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. In such circumstances, we will provide notice to you via email and through a prominent notice on our website before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if the new entity's privacy practices materially differ from those stated in this privacy statement.
We may disclose your personal information when required to do so by law, legal process, litigation, or requests from governmental authorities with proper jurisdiction. We may also disclose your information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect our rights, property, or safety, or to protect your safety or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request.
